Destinations International and the Professional Convention Management Association have expanded their recent collaboration for Destination Showcase -- the one-day exhibition and education event held annually in Washington, D.C. -- with a formal partnership designed to enhance the event.
"Destinations International and PCMA have been frequent collaborators in the business events industry, so it was a natural fit that we turned to PCMA as a partner in redesigning Destination Showcase," said Don Welsh, president and CEO of DI. "As in 2019, PCMA will join with Destinations International as the education partner for the 2020 Destination Showcase. Moving forward into 2021, we will debut a fresh and innovative new Destination Showcase."

Welsh added, "This joint venture will truly elevate the value of Destination Showcase for the planner community and our destination organization members. It will also further Destinations International's work in communicating the extensive services that our members provide to meeting planners throughout their event planning process."

While details for the new Destination Showcase have yet to be hammered out, Sherrif Karamat, PCMA's president andCEO, told M&C that education and keynote sessions for the 2020 show will be enhanced.
