Registration opened last week for the GBTA Academy Manager-Level Education Program, to be held March 11–16, 2012, at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in Charlottesville. The course marks the launch of an academic collaboration between the Global Business Travel Association and the university, which was announced during the GBTA Convention in August. The program, which has been designed for travel managers and directors, will focus on optimizing processes, people and productivity. Professionals who complete the course will be the first to earn the new manager-level certificate from the GBTA Academy. The next level is the Global Leadership Professional certification, for the leader-level education program held in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia. More information is available at gbta.org/academy1.
