The Global Business Travel Association launched a new initiative for its GBTA Convention this summer to encourage more travel buyers and stakeholders to attend. The Corporate Travel Team Program provides unlimited complimentary buyer registrations after five buyer members from that same company register at the standard rate. Such groups also will receive one reserved table at the Convention Arena luncheon and one reserved meeting room for one day of team meetings. They also have the opportunity to obtain complimentary registration for other team members who aren’t buyers, such colleagues from human resources or risk management. “As business travel becomes increasingly global, travel management teams are now dispersed across the world,” noted Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO. “The GBTA Convention 2015 Corporate Travel Team Program provides a global meeting place for travel managers and an opportunity for them to bring their extended travel team.” The convention will take place July 25-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
