The quarterly Meetings Outlook released this week by Meeting Professionals International predicts costs associated with meetings will rise in 2015, with airfares going up by the largest percentage (5 percent); F&B costs are predicted to rise by 4 percent, and room rates by 3.9 percent. More than half (53 percent) of the U.S. respondents to the quarterly survey, which traditionally polls about 300 planner and supplier members, predicted their budgets would increase, and 65 percent considered U.S. business conditions to be favorable.
