Meeting Professionals International and Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International have joined forces to share education with their members. The partnership started at MPI's World Education Congress, taking place through Tuesday in St. Louis: HSMAI provided content for MPI's supplier members, including a panel on hotel sales and a revenue-management session. In return, MPI will provide education for planners at HSMAI's MEET National, taking place Sept. 5-6 at the Walter E. Washington Center in Washington, D.C. "The idea came from the industry," said Cindy D'Aoust, acting president and CEO of MPI. "We found a similar belief and culture with HSMAI." Other collaborations will be designed for the chapter level, as regions with representative groups from both organizations might offer combined events.
