The Las Vegas-based International School of Hospitality has launched the Certified Hotel Concierge credential. The collaboration with Les Clefs d'Or USA, the national organization of hotel lobby concierges, and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute represents the first global professional standard for hotel concierges.
The certification focuses on current trends affecting concierges, notably the use of technology and the Internet in travel and the profession itself. Global and cultural awareness, diversity, the need to be multilingual, and an understanding of ethics and risk management all are key topics in the course.

The certification is available online worldwide, and as live seminars in some cities. Details are available at
