William Pate, president and CEO of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, will serve as the 2018-'19 chair of Destinations International's board of directors, and Jason Fulvi, CDME, executive vice president of VisitPittsburgh, will chair the Destinations International Foundation's board of trustees for the same period. The announcement of the two leaders was made during DI's annual conference, which wraps up today in Anaheim.
"I am extremely honored to chair Destinations International at this important time in the organization's history; we are in a strong position to execute the programs and plans that Don [Welsh] and his talented team have put together to strengthen and grow our industry, and I look forward to supporting those efforts," Pate said in a statement announcing his new role.
About taking over the foundation, Fulvi said, "I'm honored and humbled to follow in the footsteps of Joe Marinelli and Stephanie Pace Brown as incoming chair for the Destinations International Foundation. We have a dynamic group of foundation trustees that are committed to assisting destination organizations around the globe to further our professional development and improve our industry as a whole." 
During the conference, the full Destinations International 2018-'19 board of directors was announced:
