On Feb. 25, event-industry professionals all over the world collaborated via Periscope to write a song. The result will be the meetings industry's anthem for the first Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) on April 14. The exercise was facilitated by SongDivision, a group of artists who lead music-based team-building programs.
GMID, a collaborative effort between the Meetings Mean Business coalition and other industry partners, marks the expansion of North American Meetings Industry Day (NAMID), held last April in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Latin America. For details click here.
SongDivision's intent was to help create "an anthem that would capture how meeting professionals feel about their work and its incredible impact on people, businesses and communities," per the organization's website. Associations, companies and individuals are encouraged to download (for free) and use the song to promote their local GMID events.
