The United States hosted the largest number of international association attendees (365,338) in 2014, according to the International Congress and Convention Association. The finding is included in ICCA's first annual rankings for countries and cities, based on the estimated number of participants who attended international association conventions. Spain followed the U.S., hosting 289,039 attendees, followed by Germany (264,156), France (233,075) and the U.K. (199,100). For cities, Paris held the top spot (hosting 136,516 participants), followed by Barcelona, Spain (127,469), Madrid, Spain (91,452), London (89,969) and Vienna, Austria (81,902). The charts below show the top-10 lists for both countries and cities.
