A three-day trade exhibition and trade show will be held in Kuala Lumpur next year from June 25 to 27. Malaysia Tourism and Travel Mart 2020 will be organized by CEMS Conference & Exhibition (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and supported by the country's Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry and the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB). The event will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

According to Edward Liu, CEMS group managing director, the three-day trade show will be an important platform for international and local inbound and outbound travel operators and stakeholders to seek opportunities in the international tourism and travel industry. "Participants and visitors will also find opportunities to exchange ideas and network with key decision makers of the industry," said Liu. "The event will be open to trade visitors on the first two days and to the public on the third day of the show."

Spread over a gross area of more than 86,000 square feet, the exhibition will host more than 200 international exhibitors from over 45 countries and some 500 international and local hosted buyers. The show is estimated to attract 4,000 trade visitors from the travel and tourism and related industries and 8,000 public visitors.

MyCEB CEO Datuk Zulkefli Sharif said that the promotional activities for MTTM 2020 will act as a catalyst to the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign, while the exhibition itself will complement the campaign's objectives and establishes Malaysia as a preferred global business events destination.

MITEC CEO Gunther Beissel said he was honored that the facility was picked to host the show and pointed out that the event not only will enhance Malaysia's competitiveness on the global stage but also facilitate more cohesive private-public sector efforts to attract more international and regional business tourism events to the country.
