London welcomed more than four million visitors in the second quarter of 2011 (April–June), a 13 percent increase over the same period in 2010, according to the International Passenger Survey. Much of the boost, according the report, was due to major events, including the Royal Wedding in April. Figures showed that visits from North America, London's biggest inbound market, were up by 9 percent.
