Mexico’s Secretariats of Communications and Transport, Tourism, Economy and Foreign Affairs have taken actions to assist travelers affected by the suspension of operations for Mexicana Airlines and its subsidiary, Click. A help line (078) has been established for affected travelers within Mexico, and the government is working to facilitate increased connectivity with several airlines, including Air Canada and British Airways. The government also is working with domestic airlines to negotiate preferential rates for passengers affected by the suspensions. Embassies and consulates within Mexico are monitoring the situation at affected airports and offering guidance and information to their respective citizens.
