Cindy Hoddeson has been appointed director, North America, of the Monaco Government Tourist Office (MGTO).
Hoddeson has been director of meeting and incentive sales for MGTO since 1988, where she launched several new partnerships and reinforced existing ones with organizations including Bloomberg, Carnegie Hall, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Hoddeson will continue to be based in MGTO's New York office. She will manage and oversee the leisure sales, meeting, and incentive team, as well as MGTO's public relations, social media, and advertising.
"The Monaco Government Tourist Office is a world-class, award-winning, well-respected organization within the global travel arena," said Hoddeson in a statement. "I am honored to have the opportunity to play a significant role in the future of the Principality, and to contribute to the continued development and success of the destination."
Hoddeson is a member of a number of meeting and tourism organizations including SITE, MPI, and the Luxury Marketing Council. In November 2004, Prince Rainier III of Monaco presented Hoddeson with the honorific of the Chevalier de l'Ordre de Grimaldi for her contributions to Monaco's tourism.
