The Philippine Department of Tourism has issued a statement urging tourists to continue to visit the country following Typhoon Haiyan. According to the release, the international and domestic transportation infrastructure remains operational, and popular areas such as Boracay, Cebu and Bacolod are safe and accessible. "Our top destinations and product offerings remain intact and accessible. We are still the same beautiful country and we are still the same people. We continue to be the same fun destination that the world has come to know," reads the statement.
