The nighttime curfew in Thailand has been lifted in three of the country's key tourist areas: Ko Samui, Pattay and Phuket. For all other areas, the curfew remains in effect from midnight to 4 a.m., although passengers traveling to and from airports are allowed to be in transit during those times. The curfew originally was imposed nationwide on May 22 after the nation's military overthrew the elected government. All tourist attractions and infrastructure are operating normally, but in accordance with the curfew, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
