The Anaheim City Council voted in favor of an expansion of the Anaheim Convention Center. The $180 million project, which will break ground late this summer and wrap up in fall 2016, will add 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space. The center currently features 815,000 square feet of exhibit space, 130,000 square feet of meeting space and several major outdoor areas for events, including the 100,000-square-foot Grand Plaza, which opened in January 2013.
