In California, the Anaheim Convention Center broke ground on its $180 million expansion yesterday. The project will create a new front door for the complex and add more than 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, in addition to a 10,000-square-foot patio. The center currently has 815,000 square feet of exhibit space, 130,000 square feet of meeting space and several major outdoor areas for events, including the 100,000-square-foot Grand Plaza, which opened in January 2013.
