Looking to keep attendees at the Colorado Convention Center during lunchtime, the food options at the Denver facility are being redesigned with the help of local chefs, according to Centerplate, the company that handles the dining choices at the center. The concessions will use locally sourced Colorado ingredients and local Colorado suppliers. New concepts include Chef Troy Guard's Grass-Fed Beef Burgers, Authentic Mexican Tortas with Chef Roberto Santibanez, Chef Bill Pustari's Crispy Thin Crust Pizza and Chef Carmen Callo's Little Blue Bear. Some of the produce, fruit and honey used by Centerplate's chefs will come the Colorado Convention Center's urban farm, Blue Bear Farm, on the facility's grounds.
