Kay Hollander, director of sales and marketing at the Miami Beach Convention Center, has announced she will retire at the end of December after 33 years in the convention industry. Hollander has worked with convention facilities and CVBs alike during her career, including stops at the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau and Chicago's McCormick Place. "This industry, like any other, has changed in many ways over the last 30-plus years," said Hollander, who hasn't ruled out remaining involved as a consultant. "The key to sustaining success has been to adapt to those changes while staying true to the fundamentals that make all business work."
