The 1.2 million-square-foot Music City Center in Nashville celebrated its grand opening Monday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a concert featuring Sheryl Crow. The $585 million facility, which is the most expensive public project in Nashville history, already has booked 123 meetings representing more than 1 million room nights. Features include a 350,000-square-foot exhibit hall, a 57,000-square-foot ballroom, an 18,000-square-foot junior ballroom and 90,000 square feet of meeting space across 60 meeting rooms. The center is applying for LEED Silver certification.
