On Monday, New Delhi's new convention center was unveiled by the New Delhi Municipal Council, according to The Times of India. The facility has two auditoriums, six conference halls and offers videoconferencing. The main hall can accommodate up to 300 people and features digitally controlled speakers and projection capabilities. The convention center has been in the works since 1971, although construction didn't begin until 2004. The NDMC is discussing whether it will run the center itself or hire a management company to maintain the facility under a public-private partnership.
