A new study by the University of Tennessee’s Center for Business and Economic Research summarizes the development and economic impact of the Dallas-based Market Center Management Company’s Nashville Medical Trade Center, which will occupy the existing Nashville Convention Center. Organizers predict that attendance at NMTC trade shows could range from 44,000 to 153,000 visitors per year. Using the lower number, NMTC’s three-phase plan, set for completion in 2019, would bring 132,000 annual room nights to Nashville, generating yearly revenue on rooms, F&B and transportation of $37 million.
