County officials have unveiled a master plan to expand Orlando's Orange County County Convention Center over a 20-year period, according to press reports.
Among the additions will be a 130,000-square-foot multipurpose hall at the North/South building to host sporting events, medical trade shows and more; a new "connector" space in the North/South concourses to provide easier accessibility between the spaces inside the building; an activity hub on the West building's main entrance that can host smaller events, and  a new event space on the west side of the West Concourse. The plan also calls for the fixed seating in the Chapin Theater to be repurposed as a ballroom.

The facility offers 2.1 million square feet of exhibit space and 74 meetings rooms.
