Pennsylvania-based SMG is challenging a plan laid out by the city of Los Angeles to hire Anschutz Entertainment Group to manage the Los Angeles Convention Center, claiming AEG lacks the experience needed to adequately run the facility, according to the Los Angeles Times. SMG issued the statement in a letter to city officials, serving as a formal challenge to the selection process. City Council members are expected to vote on the issue by the end of the month.
