A 600,000-square-foot solar-panel system has been activated at the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. One of the largest rooftop installations in the country, the system is expected to provide 17 percent of the facility's annual power needs. The center offers 515,000 square feet of exhibit space and 67 meeting rooms.
