American Express Meetings & Events has partnered with mobile-technology developer DoubleDutch to launch HCP Mobile Connect, an app designed specifically for meetings in the pharmaceutical industry. The app offers greater flexibility in tracking health-care-provider attendees (HCPs), aiding pharma companies in the adherence to strict regulations. Via the app, event organizers can confirm and log the attendace of each HCP, and customize the program on a country level to account for differing international reporting requirements.

The app becomes part of the suite of Pharmaceutical Compliance Meetings Management Solutions offered by American Express Meetings & Events. "Pharmaceutical companies are facing increasingly complex obligations from a regulatory and compliance perspective, both within the US and internationally," said Issa Jouaneh, senior vice president and general manager, American Express Meetings & Events. "With this in mind, we offer a suite of services for the health-care industry to assist in providing full visibility of meetings-and-events attendees and associated spending."

HCP Mobile Connect is a native app available for all mobile operating systems, according to Amex. It can be scaled for use with small events, such as lunches and dinners, as well as large conferences. The app is now available for Amex Meetings & Events pharmaceutical industry clients.
