Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which launched a beta version of its iPhone/iPod touch app in mid-December, will debut the official version this month. With the application, hotel guests can consult restaurant hours and hotel information, read the property's Twitter feed, select a spa or salon treatment, and check show times and prices. Opt-in GPS functionality will allow the app to deliver customized, location-based offers. Also available for U.S. guests is Texpress, through which guests can text the resort to check in up to one day prior to arrival. Those who use the service can bypass the front desk and pick up room keys from the bell desk. The iPhone app, though still currently in its beta version, is available as a free download from the iTunes Store. Texpress is available to guests who book via caesarspalace.com.
