 Certain Software released Certain Meetings 6.0 yesterday, an event-management suite that expands the functionality of Certain's platform by adding mobile- and digital-marketing features, among others. The new tools are designed to provide functionality and value to a greater number of stakeholders -- event attendees, and procurement and marketing executives, for example -- in addition to the event management functionality used by planners. A key feature of the online software-as-a-service platform is the new Certain Mobile, a web-based application that provides planners with Certain Meetings event management functionality from an iPad or other tablet computer. An attendee app also can be created through Certain Mobile, allowing delegates to access show information via most Internet-enabled smartphones. Additionally, the new version of Certain Meetings offers built-in digital marketing features, such as the ability to share information via social media platforms, and to create email-marketing campaigns.
