Concur, the travel- and expense-management platform, has taken a step towards more thoroughly covering meetings in its end-to-end solution, announcing a new partnership agreement with meetings technology provider Cvent. Concur's travel-booking technology already is integrated with Cvent's attendee-management platform, but under the new deal, the two companies will actively promote each other's products and deepen the level of integration. The two entities now are working to meld Cvent's meeting-management tools with Concur's expense-management platform, a move that theoretically could capture more complete information about meetings spend -- data that has been notoriously difficult to wrangle on a companywide basis. The companies are working to make that expense integration available by mid-2012.
