Event mobile-app developer Core-apps has acquired GoExpo, a provider of event-management software. Among the features of GoExpo’s platform are floor-plan setup with booth sales, session and attendee schedule building, e-newsletter production, exhibitor invitations, matchmaking for one-on-one meetings, hosted-buyer programming, sponsorship sales and integrated financial reporting. Core-apps customers now have the option of consolidating technology vendors. “Our customers kept asking us to develop this type of offering so they would not have to manage multiple vendors to get their event done,” said Core-apps CEO and co-founder Jay Tokosch. “We looked at many options, but GoExpo’s comprehensive platform blew us away.” The GoExpo platform already has been integrated to work with Core-apps products. Core-apps promises cost savings as a result of the acquisition, due to bundling the services as well as being able to offer, at no cost, the programming code that third-party vendors would need to import the content aggregated by GoExpo.
