Event technology company Core-apps will preview three new features for its mobile event apps at this year's Expo! Expo!, the annual meeting of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE).

"We are always looking to innovate and solve problems with new ideas," said Jay Tokosch, CEO of Core-apps. "We build features that organizers, exhibitors and attendees find useful and innovative. That is how we've grown in the past and that is how we will continue to grow our business and our platform."

These three new Core-apps features will be available in 2017:

• Conference Notes: Acquired from AstraZeneca, Conference Notes shares speakers' presentation slides with attendees, who can use Conference Notes to take digital notes on presentations in various colors and highlights, which they can then share with one another. In return, speakers and organizers receive metrics such as "most popular slide" and "slide with the most notes."

• Showcase XD: Showcase XD (pictured) is a patent-pending tool for building interactive product catalogs to assist trade show exhibitors with in-booth engagement. Exhibitors can use it to create event-specific catalogs for iPads highlighting the products shown in their booths with demonstration videos and interactive content about product features, specifications and purchasing options.

• Access365: Access365 turns event apps into year-round engagement tools by allowing event organizers to publish content -- for example, association news, event calendars and membership directories -- that lives on before and after their events, with alerts that notify attendees when new content is available.

Showcase XD is the most important new feature for the company. "We are excited to bring Showcase XD to the trade show industry. This disruptive technology is a new revenue opportunity for event organizers and a dynamic new tool for exhibitors," Tokosch said. "Showcase XD is a cost-effective app, built for the booth of the future; it cuts down on print collateral and offers in-depth analytics for exhibitors to continue the engagement funnel."

All three new features will be on display next week at Expo! Expo!, taking place Dec. 6-8 in Anaheim, CA.
