Cvent today announced the top 50 cities for meetings and events in the United States, based on bookings made through the Cvent Supplier Network. To create the list, Cvent evaluated data for 1,000 cities and 200 major metropolitan areas. Activity was tracked between July 2011 and June 2012, and the ranking was determined by a set of qualifying criteria, including total number of room nights booked, number of unique electronic requests for proposal sent to venues within the city, total value of RFPs submitted and the actual awarded value for meetings booked. The resulting top 50 cities:
