Events technology provider GenieConnect has launched MarketingConnect, a marketing automation system that is part of the company's event solutions portfolio. The new marketing platform uses data collected from the company's other tools, such as mobile apps. Attendee behavior, through the use of those other tools, determines what kind of information those attendees receive, and through what channels, such as email, in-app notifications or via push messages. MarketingConnect allows event organizers to better target attendees with more relevant information about news, education sessions, speakers and exhibitors, according to the company.
