Meetings technology provider Lanyon has named Dirk Wakeham as president and COO, which had been an open position at the company. Wakeham will join the executive team in Dallas and report directly to CEO David Bonnette.

Wakeham most recently was president of RealPage, a software-as-a-service provider for the rental-housing industry. In five years on that job, Wakeham helped to grow the company to more than $300 million in revenue and a worldwide staff of more than 2,000 people.

"Dirk is an incredible leader who has a proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and profitable growth through his leadership and deep competency," said Bonnette. "Dirk's inclusion on the Lanyon team is a natural fit."

Wakeham will head up Lanyon's professional services, "customer-success" advisors, customer-support and renewal teams, with a specific focus on the customer lifecycle and experience. By placing those responsibilities under one person, Lanyon hopes to better serve its customers overall.
