Marriott International expanded use of its Meeting Services App by 75 properties, bringing the total number of hotels using MSA to nearly 600. The newcomers include some Autograph Collection Hotels, as well as various properties in Europe and the Middle East. The app is an on-site management tool, through which planners can make and adjust requests for coffee refills, temperature changes and just about any facilities-related service. The mobile web app is customized for each event and space, and made available three days prior to the beginning of the meeting. While known as the Meeting Services App at the Autograph Collection Hotels, the app goes by different monikers at Marriott’s various brands: Red Coat Direct (Marriott Hotels), JW Event Concierge (JW Marriott) and R.E.N. Meetings Expert (Renaissance Hotels). Properties in the Asia Pacific region are slated to roll out MSA for use in the first quarter of 2015, and select Courtyard Hotels outside the U.S. should launch a branded version in the second quarter of next year.
