Meetr, a new app available for Apple iOS devices, potentially could be a useful tool in curtailing unnecessarily long meetings. The app tracks the cost of meetings, conference calls and the like in real time, based on the salaries of the attendees present. The attendees and their estimated salaries can be entered at the beginning of the meeting, and the app then begins ticking away, keeping track of the meeting cost in terms of time and U.S. dollars. Results are stored in the app's history and therefore can track meetings for individuals or groups over time. The data can be shared as CSV files (for spreadsheets), graphs or via anonymous Twitter posts. Meetr costs $1.99 at the Apple App Store.
