 A new survey conducted by Attendee Acquisition Roundtable shows the top two attendee-acquisition challenges convention organizers face are the strategic use of social media marketing and the ability to design effective market research campaigns. Sixty-one percent of those surveyed named social media marketing as their top attendee-acquisition challenge, beating out direct mail, telemarketing, advertising and public relations. The survey polled 100 executives who run exhibitions with 125,000 square feet of exhibit space or more.
