Hilton Worldwide and ridesharing app Uber have expanded their partnership by integrating their respective apps, they announced today.

Members of Hilton's HHonors loyalty program now can hail an Uber from within the HHonors app. Uber riders, meanwhile, can view their hotel information and even check in from within the Uber app while en route to their destination.

"The success of our Uber partnership is rooted in a shared passion for finding new ways to take friction out of travel," said Rich DiStefano, senior director of mobile products at Hilton Worldwide. "By further integrating our mobile apps, we're simplifying the steps it takes for our Hilton HHonors members to obtain the quick information they seek, ultimately providing them with a better experience."

The new integration is an extension of a partnership that began last fall, when the companies introduced two Uber-powered features -- "Ride Reminders" and "Local Scene" -- within Hilton's HHonors app. The first allows guests to set automated notifications to request Uber rides to and from their hotels; users who receive notifications can launch Uber with a single tap and automatically give their Uber driver their hotel's address. The second gives users in major U.S. cities a list of the top venues frequented by Uber riders in their destination.

"Following the success of Local Scene and Ride Reminder, we are taking an additional step forward in our integration by offering guests access to their stay details while they are in an Uber."
