Online event management software provider eTouches launched yesterday the eConnection application, which automates the scheduling of private meetings at hosted-buyer events. The new functionality is part of the company's eConnect software module and works based on rankings entered by both buyers and vendors: Buyers rank topics of interest and vendors they'd like to meet, and vendors rank the categories of attendees with whom they'd most like to connect. The software analyzes the rankings and generates a suggested scheduling grid. The new functionality is integrated with the other modules in eConnect, which are geared toward facilitating networking and meetings among attendees.
