Fort Lauderdale might be getting a $450 million upgrade that would improve the destination's beachside promenades and parks, create more parking spaces, renovate several of the city's key attractions (such as the Swimming Hall of Fame) and bring more upscale resorts, restaurants and boutique retail to the area, according to SunSentinel.com. The city is expected to seek bids to design the upcoming projects.
