The U.S. General Services Administration has posted its new per diem rates for fiscal year 2011, covering lodging, meals and incidental expense allowances for government employees traveling in the continental U.S. Because of the falling average daily rate, there is a 5.73 percent decrease in estimated lodging costs for the coming fiscal year, which translates to a decrease of 3.85 percent when meals and incidental expenses are factored in. The allowances for meals and incidental expenses remain the as in 2010. For more information from the GSA, click here.
