The National Minority Supplier Development Council will hold its 2010 Conference and Business Opportunity Fair Oct. 24-27 in Miami Beach. This conference, expected to attract 5,000 attendees, originally was scheduled for the same dates in Phoenix, but Arizona's new immigration bill prompted many NMSDC members to request the change. In a statement released Thursday, the group said, "The decision to relocate the conference was made as a result of the concerns of NMSDC's members and constituents about the impact of Arizona SB 1070. The bill is inconsistent with the ideals and principles upon which the NMSDC operates, including valuing diversity and inclusion for all."
