The Convention Industry Council has released a new edition of its APEX Industry Glossary, which was first published in 2005. "The new 2011 edition is part of the APEX leadership's commitment to keep these industry-specific resources relevant, up-to-date and accessible," said Teri Tonioli, CMP, a senior vice president at Experient and the chair of the APEX Leadership Council. The APEX Standards Review Council eliminated common words not specific to the industry, eliminated terms that no longer are in use, added new terms, and made sure all definitions were concise and precise. The new version has been streamlined from more than 4,000 terms to about 1,450. Access the free glossary here, or buy the print version for $35 here.
