The general assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is the latest group to announce a boycott of Arizona. The group voted to "refrain from holding national meetings in states where travel by immigrant Presbyterians or Presbyterians of color might subject them to harassment due to legislation." According to a statement to members posted on its website, "The PC(USA)... will monitor the progress of similar legislation to Arizona Law SB 1070/HB2162 that is currently being considered in 17 other states (as of June 23). As directed by this assembly, the PC(USA) will refrain from holding national meetings in states that pass such copycat legislation."
