According to news sources, the Quincy (Mass.) City Council voted unanimously to approve a large-scale redevelopment project for its downtown area. About $1.3 billion will be the price tag for the construction of new office space, residences, an entertainment complex and two hotels in the city, which is 10 miles south of downtown Boston. Groundbreaking could take place this year, and the first elements could be open by 2013.
