Benchmark Hospitality International has released its yearly "Top Ten Meeting Trends for 2012" list, based on surveys of its 35 properties to discover what they are seeing as far as meetings are concerned. Topping the list is the return of the luxury segment, but with a twist: While corporations have started using top-tier properties again, they still are watching their meeting budgets as closely as if it were 2008. The second trend shows that meeting demand is is the strongest it’s been since 2008 and is growing, while the third trend says meeting sizes are growing and space is at a premium. Also notable: The desire of corporations to give back remains strong.
