Susie Scott is the new restaurant manager of The Carillon at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, Texas.

What was your most unusual culinary experience?
Dinner at Mugaritz, in San Sebastian, Spain, where chef Andoni Luis Aduriz focuses on intensely flavorful food that evokes emotions. We enjoyed small plates with names like "My Guts Are Growling" and "Oily Fish Cooked Under a Salted Cloud," and quirky presentations like a sea urchin wrapped in a chia roll that sat on the plate like a sleeping caterpillar. Karen Totaro

Karen Totaro has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of the San Diego Convention Center, which has 525,701 square feet of contiguous exhibit space. Totaro previously served as general manager of the Atlantic City Convention Center, and before that as assistant GM at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati.
Debi Bishop

The 2,860-room Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu has named 30-year hospitality veteran Debi Bishop managing director. Prior to this, she was general manager of the Hilton Waikoloa at Waikoloa Village on the Big Island.
David Cohen

The new 144-room Playa Largo Resort & Spa in Key Largo, Fla., has hired David Cohen as senior sales manager. He previously served for 15 years as a national sales manager for Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Gerron Douglas

Gerron Douglas has been appointed executive chef at the 463-suite Conrad New York. Prior to this he served as executive banquet chef at the hotel, which offers more than 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
Ashley M. Mahon

The new 150-room Hyatt House New York/Chelsea on Sixth Avenue and West 28th Street has named Ashley M. Mahon general manager. She previously served as director of rooms at the Hyatt Herald Square.
Melissa Robinson

The 2,267-room Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., has appointed Melissa Robinson as group sales manager, handling the Midwest and West Coast markets. She is the former sales and catering manager of Florida's Hollywood Beach Marriott.
Lisa Timbo

The 610-room JW Marriott Chicago has named Lisa Timbo general manager. A 30-year hospitality veteran, Timbo formerly was GM at the Renaissance Schaumburg (Ill.) Hotel and Convention Center.
William Stout

The 160-room Hotel Boulderado in Boulder, Colo., has hired William Stout (pictured) as director of banquets, Brandon Williams as director of food and beverage, and Lauren Widmaier as director of marketing.
Debbie Whiten

Debbie Whiten has been named Nashville group sales manager for the 199-room Chattanoogan in Chattanooga, Tenn., following a 15-year stint at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville South Cool Springs.
