NLR PIE CHART 092011Good food and beverage is absolutely critical to a meeting's overall success, say one-third of meeting planners. Another 59 percent of the 156 respondents to a recent M&C Research poll say top-notch F&B is "very important" to their events. In fact, 30 percent would refuse to book a venue that did not have excellent food.

Half of planners now spend more on F&B than they did two years ago. Fifty-one percent say attendees have become more demanding in their expectations at food functions.     


33% of planners consider the quality of food and beverage to be "extremely critical" to the success of their meetings or events. Another 59 percent call F&B "very important."

51% say attendees have become more demanding in their expectations for top-notch F&B.

7%
have eliminated breakfast from the meeting agenda within the past two years.

40% have downscaled breakfast offerings.
