Maritz Travel and Experient will be part of a new parent company, Maritz Global Events. As divisions of same, the two entities will remain focused in their respective market sectors, with Maritz Travel primarily serving the corporate market, and Experient focusing on associations, trade shows, government, sports and enthusiast markets, among others. Each division will adopt a parent-company identifier in its name: A Maritz Global Events Company.

"We believe the name, Maritz Global Events, more accurately reflects who we currently are as a company and where we are going in the future," said David Peckinpaugh, president of the parent company. "Maritz Global Events effectively and efficiently brings together the industry-leading power of Maritz Travel and Experient. This alignment ensures we collectively and consistently deliver exceptional event experiences to our clients and their guests anytime, anywhere."

The new brand also is designed to showcase the two companies' collective offerings and capabilities, including face-to-face events, buying power, experience-design methodology and global-events solutions.
