Maritz Travel has named John Wahle vice president of technology; he will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company's information technology and systems. Wahle most recently served as vice president of technology for Express Scripts and previously worked for Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he directed global integration projects to reduce cost and consolidate functions.

"I've always been familiar with Maritz and truly believe in both the mission and culture of the company," said Wahle. "I am looking forward to collaborating and building relationships in order to deliver the best possible technology experience to our stakeholders."

According to Steve O'Malley, division president of Maritz Travel, "John's diverse background and his ability to view technology from a global standpoint will be a key asset in ensuring Maritz Travel delivers the best solutions. From overall IT strategy to end-user experience, and infrastructure-engineering to application development, his expertise will help us not only remain competitive in the constantly evolving landscape of event technology, but continue to innovate and differentiate how we serve our clients and their guests."
